The "Simple Food" program is here!
We want to give you all of tools you need to kick the fast-food habit! Working together we can help educate and remind our community that there is a better way, a healthier choice, good old fashioned home-cooking. But it goes further than that. It is our goal to preserve traditional and regional cuisine while encouraging organic farming, urban permaculture and the stewardship of our local ecosystem.
We know that traditional and regional cuisine is sought after by a highly devoted, specific group of people looking for healthy, local, farm-fresh food. We hope that you are one such person and that you will consider joining us.
The "Simple Food" program promotes local farming and urban permaculture. We support the principles behind organic agricultural methods that have a low impact on the environment, create biodiversity and embrace sustainable food production practices.
We are passionate about "Simple Food" and are working together to compile two living-books, the "Simple Food Cookbook" and the "Simple Food Guidebook". These living-books contain our tried-and-true recipes and first-hand information on a number of topics, from wine & beer making, to food preparation, canning and dehydrating.
These living-books are a perpetual work in progress. Our recipes are also posted on Facebook, twitter and linkedin. If you would like to help us write these books, please become a community member today. There is a lot we can learn from you!
Additionally "Simple Food" hosts an online Seed and Seedlings Exchange. The Seeds & Seedlings Exchange is easy to use. It contains listings of seeds and seedlings that we have collected, have an excess of, and would like to exchange. Community members can arrange to exchange seeds and seedlings online by using the private message feature of this website.
Simple Food meets as a group, from time-to-time, for meals, to share ideas, recipes and our personal experiences. Please visit the ecopartners Social Club meetup for more information and to RSVP to events.
